Job summary

Lifesteps is seeking a Training Coordinator in Butler, PA to coordinate employee trainings for the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Department and ensure staff meet regulatory and accreditation standards.

You will identify training needs, help create curricula, monitor risks, and serve as the main trainer for required in-person classes, supporting Coordinators, Program Specialists, and Behavior Support staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and five years of experience in Human Resources, Training and Development, and/or a Management Role OR Associate Degree in HR, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling / Guidance, etc.
• Possess Strong Presentation Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and have strong organization with the ability to prioritize
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must have valid Driver’s License and the ability to Travel within Western PA for business utilizing personal vehicle

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee trainings to ensure staff compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
• Identify staff training needs and assist with creating training curriculum.
• Recommend training or development plans and monitor to mitigate risks.
• Serve as the main trainer (presenter/instructor) for required in-person classes at Lifesteps.
• Support Coordinators, Program Specialists, and Behavior Support staff through training-related activities.
