Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a SWAT RN (Specialized Workforce and Transport) for night shifts. You respond to emergencies, rapid responses, and Code Blues across Adult ICU, PICU, NICU, and WIS, primarily at Banner University Medical Center Tucson with occasional float to South Tucson.

Available nights include 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with self-scheduling, $3.00/hour float pay, 18% night differential, and $3.00/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or equivalent license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• For home health: personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance.
• Behavioral health roles may require fingerprint clearance and criminal history affidavit.
• Maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, and spiritual domains.
• Formulate and initiate an evidence-based plan of care with goals.
• Implement, coordinate, and supervise care according to physician orders.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document care in the patient record timely and accurately.
• Deliver evidence-based care and participate in professional development.
• Contribute to broader health outcomes and quality initiatives.
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, and community providers.
