Job summary

Banner - University Medical Center South in Tucson is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 South ICU unit. This full-time night shift role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for critically ill patients in a 13-bed ICU, with complex therapies and devices.

You will work closely with experienced staff and prepare for Magnet/Level 3 Trauma development while providing high-quality, compassionate patient care across interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• Temporary/interim RN license or compact licensure acceptable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to policy and standards.
• Formulate and revise the plan of care with patient/family input and multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate, delegate and supervise nursing activities to ensure safe care.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care and teaching as needed.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes in the patient record.
• Participate in professional practice improvement and inter-facility collaboration.
