Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet, located at 333 Madison St, Joliet, IL 60435, is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Registered Nurse for the ICU. The role includes cross-training to CVICU and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process, with a focus on critical care in the ICU. The ideal candidate holds an active Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice and patient/family teaching.
• Direct and guide nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition, including monitoring results and symptoms.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
