Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU cross-trained to CVICU. This full-time night shift (7p–7:30a) role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a compensation range of $35.70–$54.11 per hour.

The job focuses on delivering safe patient care, monitoring patients, and guiding other staff in the ICU while ensuring privacy and confidentiality. Qualified candidates hold a current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and relevant ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct patient/family teaching and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
