Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU (MICU, Neuro ICU cross-trained to CVICU). This full-time night-shift role involves direct patient care, critical care monitoring, and family education in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a CCU-focused background; BSN preferred. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician, including hemodynamic data.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
