Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7p–7:30a) in MICU/Neuro ICU with cross-training to CVICU. The role delivers high-quality critical care and coordinates with physicians.

This position offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package within a large health system. Candidates should have an RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical care experience; CCRN preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
