Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the ICU, cross-trained to CVICU, on a full-time night shift (7p–7:30a) in Joliet, Illinois. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

The RN will deliver safe patient care, apply the nursing process, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the ICU team. Requirements include active RN license, BLS, ACLS; ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; ICU/CCU experience preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in ICU.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians; monitor hemodynamics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
