Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU cross-trained to CVICU, working nights from 7p to 7:30a. The role emphasizes direct patient care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, including hemodynamic monitoring and critical care standards.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferred CCU/BSN; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within ICU scope and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
