Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead a care delivery team and direct nursing care for a group of patients. The CN II demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and coordinates care across assessment, planning, and evaluation.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, ACLS, ongoing education, and precepts new staff. 36 scheduled weekly hours, dayshift 7a-7:30p, every other weekend and holiday. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period. Completes Orientation Checklist.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety and CPR Re-certification. ACLS is required.
• Must have theoretical knowledge combined with clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients.Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of patients and direct nursing care.
• Coordinate nursing care for a specific group of patients across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Precepts new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrate competencies in equipment used for patient care across age groups.
