Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team and direct nursing care for a group of patients. The CN II demonstrates clinical competency, leads others, and coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Completes Orientation Checklist and hospital probationary period.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and CPR Re-Certification; ACLS required.
• Theoretical knowledge plus clinical experience; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct care for a team of patients and coordinate nursing care.
• Demonstrate nursing leadership and clinical competency.
• Precept new employees as assigned.
• Lead care delivery for a specific patient group; assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds; supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
