Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a Clinical Nurse II (CN II) to lead a care delivery team and coordinate patient care. This role requires independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' needs, with preceptorship of new staff as needed.

The CN II demonstrates clinical competency and leadership, supports age-appropriate care, and uses essential equipment. ACLS is required, and ongoing education is encouraged within a robust team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and CPR Re-certification; ACLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct care for a team of patients as the leader of the Care Delivery Team.
• Coordinate nursing care across the patient group, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Precept new employees as assigned and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
• Demonstrate competencies in equipment use essential for patient care across age groups.
