Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a Clinical Nurse I to lead a Care Delivery Team in the Med/Surg Unit - Lorain. You will direct patient care for a team of patients, using the CN II as a resource, with responsibility for independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.

The CN I serves as the entry step to Mercy Health's Clinical Ladder, with a path to CN II within one year. 36 scheduled weekly hours (7p-7:30a) and evenings/nights shift are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN license and BLS/CPR certification.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation and probation.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of CE annually including Fire Safety & BLS recertification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct care leadership for a patient care team.
• Apply independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Serve as a resource to CN II.
• Progression on the Clinical Ladder within one year.
