Job summary

Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, an active NJ RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications with potential for ACLS within six months.

Full-time, day shift, 7:00am–7:30pm, with every other weekend. The RN will provide age-specific care, participate in discharge planning, and support unit performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate degree in nursing.
• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills.
• Minimum two (2) years RN experience working in Critical Care or Telemetry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• The RN organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care on an assigned unit.
• Support philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of RWJBarnabas Health.
• Practice in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
