Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines (CVICU, SICU, MICU) and potentially other areas as staffing needs dictate. Ideal candidates will have experience with critically ill patients and comfort floating between multiple ICUs, contributing to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

The RN will participate in all stages of care—from assessment through evaluation—while maintaining ANA-aligned ethics and Ohio nursing scope.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice nursing in Ohio.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years of eligibility.
• Experience in caring for critically ill patients preferred; float between multiple ICU environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide care across ICU specialties (CVICU, SICU, MICU) and other hospital areas as needed.
• Perform holistic patient assessments using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge RNs and interdisciplinary teams; communicate via SBAR.
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain safety standards.
