Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an experienced Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines including CVICU, SICU, and MICU. Ideal candidates have critical care experience and comfort floating across ICU environments to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities include holistic assessment, care planning, SBAR communication, discharge planning, and patient/family education, with a focus on safety and evidence-based practice. Apply to join a collaborative ICU team.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for critically ill patients.
• Comfort floating between ICU environments.
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN within 5 years for hires after January 2010.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the Nursing Process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Complete holistic patient assessments and report changes promptly.
• Communicate care plans using SBAR and participate in handoffs.
• Prioritize care, coordinate discharge planning, and involve families.
• Provide patient/family education and collaborate with the care team.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid, precise action and ensure safety.
• Document care in the EMR timely and accurately.
• Engage in leadership activities, mentoring, and professional development.
