Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an experienced Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines across CVICU, SICU and MICU. You will float between ICU environments caring for critically ill patients and assist elsewhere as staffing requires.

Applicants should have strong critical care skills, be comfortable with the nursing process, SBAR communication, and working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for ICU/step-down areas.
• MSN or DNP are not required but may supersede BSN.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic patient assessments using the nursing process.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the care team using SBAR.
• Document under the electronic medical record system accurately and timely.
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies with prompt, coordinated action.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
