Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the ICU on the night shift (approx. 7pm–7am).

The role involves unlicensed support under the supervision of a professional nurse, assisting with patient care and the admissions/discharge process. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and one year of health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Collaborate with RNs and PCTs in a busy ICU environment.
