Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring full-time Patient Care Technicians in Virginia Beach, VA. Days and nights available; shifts run 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver patient care and assist with admissions and discharges.

Required education is a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Prior health care experience preferred; CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related Sentara/clinical programs are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT, RN/LPN/RT/PT clinical experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with delegated nursing tasks and maintain patient safety.

Education
