Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach. This full-time night shift role supports RNs, performs delegated nursing tasks, and helps with admissions and discharges in a high-acuity environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Prior healthcare experience is preferred; multiple CNA/PC tech credentials are recognized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to the nurse.
• Maintain patient safety practices at all times.
