Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring full-time Patient Care Technicians in Virginia Beach, VA. The dayshift is roughly 7am–7pm and nights 7pm–7am. You will provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, support admissions and discharges, and ensure patient safety throughout your shift.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and one of several accepted certifications. One year of health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: One year of prior health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge process and ensure patient safety practices.
• Observe patients and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to the nurse.
