Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 7pm–7am night shift in the Intensive Care Unit. You will work alongside RNs to deliver front-line patient care to critically ill adults in a 24-bed unit.

High school diploma required with BLS within 90 days; CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent certifications are accepted. One year health care experience preferred; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and time off.

Qualifications

• Compassionate care for high-acuity patients.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work under supervision of a nurse in a fast-paced ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the nurse.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes and patient safety practices.
