Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time night shift role involves assisting nurses with patient care, supporting admissions and discharges, and ensuring patient safety in a high-acuity environment.

You will work with a team of PCTs and RNs to provide compassionate care to critically ill patients, observe patient conditions, and communicate changes to the supervising nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients closely and report changes to the nurse.
• Maintain patient safety practices and assist with care tasks as delegated.
