Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for the ICU. Under supervision, you will provide hands-on patient care and support to help patients reach their highest level of wellness.

The role includes vital signs, meals, hygiene, and basic clerical support. The position offers PRN shifts with varied hours, training programs through an accredited Mercy program, and opportunities to advance from PCA to PCT.

Qualifications

• Obtain and record vital signs in the EMR.
• Assist patients with meals, hygiene, toileting, ambulation, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.

Responsibilities

• PCA duties: obtain vitals, meal assistance, hygiene care, mobility, transport.
• PCT duties: phlebotomy, blood cultures, enteral feedings, wound care, IV/ Foley removal, tracheostomy care and suctioning.
