Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to assist in individualized patient care under the guidance of an RN or LPN. You will work as part of a Med/Surg team on the Day Shift, part-time (24 hours per week) with weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with patient needs, and providing clerical support, while training opportunities may lead to advancement to a Patient Care Technician (PCT) role and beyond.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CPTC certification or enrollment in a healthcare career program preferred.
• No prior healthcare experience required.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
