Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to assist with individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN, contributing to the care team in Med Surg ICU and helping patients achieve their highest level of wellness through clinical and non-clinical tasks. We offer Day Shift options (7am–7pm) with PT and FT roles, rotating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire
• PCA competencies completed within 3 months
• High School Diploma or GED
• CNA/CPTC or
• Enrolled in a healthcare career program (including high school programs)

Responsibilities

• Assist with individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks.
• Collaborate with care team to support patient wellness.
• Maintain safety and comfort for patients during shifts.
