Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Nights on the 3x3 schedule in the ICU-CCU. You will deliver professional nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, monitoring patients, and supporting patient and family education. Texas RN licensure and certifications are required or pursued within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current registered nurse license in Texas.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC/TCAR within 6 months of hire.
• ENLS preferred for NSICU.
• Cross-training to similar areas.
• Willingness to train as charge nurse.
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of experience.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written; computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for unit patients according to standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and families; maintain patient records.
• Support mission and vision of the hospital; adapt to unit needs.
