Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nights 3:3 shift in ICU-CCU. You will deliver holistic nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements include TX RN license, BSN preferred, ACLS/NIHSS/TNCC/TCAR within 6 months, ENLS preferred for NSICU. Cross-training and prep for charge nurse roles are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas required.
• ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC/TCAR within stated timeframes.
• ENLS preferred for NSICU; cross-training to similar areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for ICU/CCU patients with clinical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in performance improvement.
• Provide education to patients and families; support charge nurse when needed.

Education

RN license - Texas

BSN preferred

ACLS within 3 months of hire

NIHSS within 6 months of hire

TNCC/TCAR within 6 months of hire

ENLS preferred for NSICU

Cross-training to like areas

Willingness to be trained for charge nurse

Willingness to become a preceptor after 2 years

Hospital experience preferred

Proficiency in English – verbal and written
