Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nights 3x3 SICU shift. The role requires strong nursing process skills, certification compliance, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical ICU.

The ideal candidate will hold a TX RN license, BSN preferred, and complete ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC/TCAR, and ENLS within specified timelines. Cross-training and preceptor duties are encouraged as you contribute to unit excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• Current registered nurse’s license in the State of Texas required.
• ACLS certification within six (3) months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within six (6) months of hire.
• TNCC/TCAR within six (6) months of hire.
• ENLS certification required for NSICU.
• Willingness to be cross trained to like areas.
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of nursing experience.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care according to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Performs the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Implements physician orders safely and accurately.
• Assists with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
• Maintains detailed nursing records and patient education.
• Administers medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery.
