Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Effingham, IL seeks a Paramedic with 3+ years of busy 911 experience to provide pre-hospital advanced life support from first contact through transfer to receiving facilities. You will operate within state scope of practice and Air Methods CBS guidelines, maintaining equipment and thorough documentation.

The role includes pre-mission briefings, flight duties, and safety responsibilities with opportunities for ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from first contact to handoff
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation
• Maintain compliance with state scope of practice and Medical Directors’ guidelines
• Attend pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings
• Ensure safety and readiness of aircraft and equipment
