Job summary

Air Methods in Highland, IL seeks a highly skilled pre-hospital provider to deliver advanced life support in a helicopter transport setting. You will work with CBS Medical Directors, maintain certifications, and participate in ongoing clinical education. 3+ years in busy 911 is required, with trauma and flight experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years in a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
• Critical care transport and flight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality pre-hospital advanced life support and documentation.
• Operate within scope defined by base and CBS medical director; participate in ongoing education.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and safety training; attend six educational programs yearly.
• Ensure equipment readiness and report failures; keep aircraft stocked and clean.
• Participate in outreach, pre-mission briefings, and post-mission debriefings.
• Assist neonatal/pediatric transports and act as a clinical resource and educator.
