Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking a highly experienced Paramedic to perform pre-hospital advanced life support in a busy 911 environment, flying on helicopters and supporting clinical staff.

You will maintain patient documentation, operate within state-defined scopes, and participate in ongoing education and safety processes. A strong commitment to teamwork and continual learning is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus
• Registered EMT-P licensed in state(s) served and relevant certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to transfer; maintain patient care documentation
• Operate within defined scope of practice per state regulations and Air Methods CBS; maintain competency
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, training records; attend six educational programs annually
• Ensure equipment readiness and documentation; report equipment failures and maintain supplies onboard aircraft
• Participate in patient follow-up, outreach activities, and pre-mission briefings/debriefings
• Assist in liftoff checklists and support pilot with radio, navigation and observation tasks
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings and serve as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric transports
• Engage in departmental activities, projects, committees, and ongoing professional development
