Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support our ICU service lines across CVICU, SICU, and MICU. Candidates should have critical care experience and be comfortable floating between multiple ICU environments.

The role may require support in other hospital areas to meet patient care and staffing needs. Three ICU specialties at our Auburn Avenue campus provide diverse experiences with strong interdisciplinary support and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for step-down/ICU areas.
• BSN within 5 years of hire is preferred but not required.
• Certification in specialty area is encouraged within five years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care using The Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model.
• Communicate the plan of care and patient status via SBAR and handoff processes.
• Prioritize care, participate in shift reports and care conferences.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies with quick, decisive action while maintaining safety.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards for patients, families, and staff.
