Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Resource Float Pool RN to support ICU service lines, floating between CVICU, SICU, and MICU to care for critically ill patients. The role may also support other areas as needed.

Responsibilities include holistic patient assessment, SBAR handoffs, discharge planning, and patient/family education. ICU experience and flexibility across units are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice nursing in Ohio
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire in ICU areas
• Certification in area of clinical specialty expected within five years of eligibility
• Ability to work across multiple ICU environments

Responsibilities

• Holistic assessment of patients’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and education needs
• Handoff communication with physician, charge RN, and health team members using SBAR
• Develops and revises multidisciplinary care plans with patient and family
• Responds to emergencies with prompt, precise nursing actions
• Ensures safety and infection control measures are followed
• Provides ongoing patient and family education tailored to needs
