Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, seeks a Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join the intensive care team in caring for critically ill adult patients. The APP conducts exams, orders tests, prescribes interventions, and leads in patient care, teaching, and research within the ICU.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with ICU physicians and staff, educate families, and participate in quality improvement and clinical practice protocols to advance patient

Qualifications

• PA-C or NP with acute care certification and NC license.
• 1+ year critical care experience preferred; new grads with relevant electives considered.
• Ability to perform 12-hour shifts and manage ICU caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of critically ill adult patients in ICU.
• Examine, order and interpret diagnostic tests under supervision.
• Prescribe interventions and medications within licensure; document in EMR.
• Collaborate with ICU team, families and nursing staff to ensure best outcomes.
• Engage in quality, research and education activities within the unit.
