Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas seeks a Registered Nurse for PRN 12-hour night shifts in the ICU. You will provide comprehensive patient care under a multidisciplinary plan, perform continuous assessments, and administer medications with strict adherence to safety protocols.

The role requires an RN license (TX or compact), CPR, and 1–2 years of ICU/CCU experience or completion of related residency/internship programs.

Qualifications

• Two years ICU/CCU experience or completion of ICU/CCU Residency with one year ICU/CCU experience or completion of a Nurse Internship Program with one year ICU/CCU experience.
• RN license or valid Texas compact/temporary permit held.
• Current CPR required; ALS/ACLS as hire criteria or placement in role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ICU patients per protocols and plan of care.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor for changes; escalate as needed.
• Administer medications respecting six rights and infection control practices.
• Document accurately in patient records; ensure compliance with policies.
• Float to different ICU areas as needed and serve as a preceptor or trainer.
