Parkland Health in Dallas is seeking an RN for ICU/CCU PRN night shifts. The role requires current Texas RN licensure, CPR, and ACLS/ALS certifications, with ICU/CCU experience or residency/internship paths.

The nurse will provide patient-centered care, perform ongoing assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to float and work weekends/h Holidays is required.

Qualifikationen

• Must have current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
• Must have current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
• Must have current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or placement in role.
• Two years ICU/CCU experience; 'OR' ICU/CCU Residency program and one year ICU/CCU experience; 'OR' Nurse Internship Program and one year ICU/CCU experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Employee must be willing to float to different inpatient units as needed and work PRN nights.
• Employee commits to working a minimum of two shifts per pay period; schedule may include weekends and holidays.

Aufgaben

• Serves as a patient advocate and maintains positive relationships with Parkland staff and patients.
• Performs patient assessments and recognizes changes in condition, coordinating with providers as needed.
• Manage adult ICU patients with neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular, GI, and genitourinary disorders; administer medications safely.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure records meet department standards.
• Provide direction to non-nursing staff and act as a preceptor or trainer for newer staff.
• Float to areas within skillset as required and participate in scheduling and on-call assignments.
