Job summary

The Dell Medical School, in conjunction with Ascension Texas, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health.

The APP will split time between the telemetry floor and the clinic, delivering patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings under supervision.

Candidates must be board-certified and licensed in Texas; APNs require prescriptive authority while PAs need NCCPA certification, with cardiovascular experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program with board certification.
• PA: NCCPA board certified and Texas medical board licensure.
• APN: Prescriptive authority and board certification in APRN track.
• Relevant education/experience may substitute for formal criteria.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments and exams.
• Provide treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Document care in accordance with policy and standards.
• Participate in staff and student orientation and education.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
