Job summary

The Dell Medical School, in collaboration with Ascension Texas, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, delivering world-class adult cardiovascular and thoracic care with a multidisciplinary team.

The APP will split time between telemetry and clinic, diagnosing and treating adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings, under supervision, ensuring patient-centered, compassionate care across settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program.
• Board-certified APP (PA or NP) with relevant licensure.
• Prescriptive authority where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessments; order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Provide direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Document care according to specialty standards and policies.
• Participate in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Other related functions as assigned.
