Job summary

The Dell Medical School, in collaboration with Ascension Texas, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health. The APP/PA will split clinical time between telemetry and the clinic, providing patient-centered cardiovascular and thoracic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include health assessments, prescribing or referring care, and documenting care per standards while working closely with supervising

Qualifications

• Graduates from an accredited training program and board certified in the respective field.
• PA with NCCPA certification and Texas Medical Board license.
• APN with prescriptive authority and board certification through AANPCB or ANCC and Texas Board of Nursing.
• Ability to work well with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performs health assessments, screening, and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of conditions via prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes per specialty standards and policy.
• Collaborates with supervising physicians in a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team.
