Job summary

The Dell Medical School – Institute for Cardiovascular Health is seeking Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join a multidisciplinary team delivering adult cardiovascular and thoracic care. The APP/PA will work across telemetry and clinic settings, performing assessments and managing conditions with prescriptive authority or referrals.

Candidates must be board certified and licensed as appropriate (NCCPA for PA, AANPCB/ANCC for APN with Texas licensure).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body.
• Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification and licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority and board certification (AANPCB/ANCC) and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performs health assessments, screenings, and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of cardiovascular conditions via prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Documents health care delivery and nursing processes per specialty standards and policy.
• Works with supervising physicians as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Capable of collaborating with physicians and other care providers in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
