Job summary

Leidos seeks a Mid-Level Software Engineer to own features from design to deployment on the Chinook Program. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting national security objectives, and contribute to CI/CD, DevSecOps, and modern cloud technologies.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines, implement RESTful APIs, work with databases, and provide guidance to junior engineers while ensuring code quality and secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field with 4–8 years' experience or Master’s with 2–6 years of prior experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JSON, Ajax, REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Python, Java, or JavaScript; frameworks such as React/Angular/Vue.js/Spring Boot/Django/Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain a software application that supports GEOINT mission.
• Translate requirements into software solutions.
• Implement moderately complex software features independently.
• Develop scalable and secure components and RESTful APIs.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases; troubleshoot defects and performance issues.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps processes and contribute to code reviews.
