Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer for the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer and national security objectives. You’ll own features from design through deployment, design, develop, test, and maintain software capabilities, while contributing to code quality, automation, and DevSecOps.

The role requires building RESTful APIs, databases, CI/CD, cloud work, and guidance to junior engineers, with active TS/SCI and polygraph in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field with 4–8 years of experience.
• US citizenship required per contract.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JSON, Ajax, and REST APIs.
• Object-oriented programming in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and agile collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain a software application supporting GEOINT mission.
• Translate requirements into software solutions and independently implement features.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and ensure test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support production sustainment.
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies and ensure quality acceptance criteria.
