Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer and evolving an application for national security.

You will work with experienced engineers in an Agile team, gaining hands-on experience in development, testing, and deployment of modern software capabilities. Growth is supported through guidance from senior engineers and collaboration across DevSecOps and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with less than 2 years of experience
• Experience with web technologies, RESTful APIs, and modern programming languages

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software solutions under guidance
• Implement features based on requirements and designs
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests
• Troubleshoot defects and perform root-cause analysis
• Support integration of application components and services
• Work with REST APIs, databases, and CI/CD processes
• Maintain documentation and development artifacts
• Contribute to agile sprints and team ceremonies
