Job summary

Leidos seeks a Mid-Level Test Engineer to support the Chinook program for an Intelligence Community customer. You will design and execute manual test cases, develop test procedures, and validate RESTful services to ensure mission-critical software behaves as intended.

Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders, maintain traceability, and document defects in Jira. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience with 4–8 years of relevant work.
• 4+ years of software testing, quality engineering, or software validation experience.
• Hands-on experience with manual functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Experience performing API testing using Bruno, Postman, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON payloads, and API validation.
• Experience working in an Agile SDLC and using Jira or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute manual test cases and detailed procedures.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, flaky, and exploratory testing of web-based applications and services.
• Create and maintain test plans, scenarios, and traceability to requirements.
• Conduct API testing using Bruno, Postman, and Swagger UI to validate services and data integrity.
• Collaborate with developers, owners, and stakeholders to determine testing strategy.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure test coverage across sprints.
• Identify edge cases, document defects with steps and evidence, and verify fixes.
