Job summary

Chronosphere, a Palo Alto Networks company, seeks a senior leader to own and drive access control initiatives that sit between platform engineering and product. Responsibilities

• Partner with your product manager to assess customer needs, co-create the roadmap, and own delivery against it.
• Balance large investments alongside a steady cadence of customer requests while ensuring the team can deliver at a predictable pace.
• Hire and onboard engineers. Coach them through any growing pains, and evolve the team’s norms and delivery cadence.
• Monitor SLOs, SLAs, and health of the system in production and take timely action to meet our reliability goals.
• Work with our security and compliance partners on reviews, audits, and the commitments we make to customers.
• In the first month, you will learn our authentication and authorization systems, how customers manage access today, and where they get stuck.
• In 3 months, you will manage the team’s day-to-day work. As you continue to ramp up on technical and execution strategy, you will partner with your manager and the team’s PM to define the roadmap for our broader access control needs.
• After 3 months, you will own execution, continue growing the team, and show progress on the more ambitious items on the roadmap.
