Job summary

Palo Alto Networks’ Chronosphere division seeks an Engineering Manager to build and grow a high‑performing team for the logging platform. You will balance hands‑on work with roadmapping, mentoring engineers, and aligning product and infrastructure priorities to deliver reliable software.

You will guide 10+ engineers, remove blockers, and partner with product and design to set clear priorities. The role emphasizes ownership of production reliability, scalability, and a collaborative culture

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with product and design.
• Ability to translate ambiguous goals into clear priorities.
• Proven track record delivering on roadmaps with engineering teams.
• Experience coaching engineers across levels and disciplines.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS products and deployments.
• Strong emphasis on reliability, scalability and customer impact.
• Empathy and ability to support engineers in their growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and design to vet direction for logging product and drive alignment.
• Manage projects to product and infrastructure roadmaps, define delivery sequence.
• Balance work across contributors and foster a healthy team environment.
• Recruit, coach, and grow a team of 10+ engineers through all career stages.
• Remove obstacles and drive high velocity and execution.
• Own production reliability and ensure systems are scalable and observable.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders on wider initiatives.
