Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to provide hands-on support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment at gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role requires reading schematics, testing devices, and ensuring compliance with DOT and PSM requirements. On-call duties and safety program participation are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with electrical/control systems and field instrumentation is essential.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word).
• Experience troubleshooting/configuring control systems (Wonderware/FactoryTalk/RSLogix/DeltaV).
• Knowledge of DOT parts 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and P&IDs.
• Test, calibrate, and document control devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
• Participate in on-call requirements.
• Provide direction to and oversight of third-party contractors.
• Mentor less-qualified employees.
• Provide written/electronic reporting.
• Perform LOTO procedures.
