Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to provide technical support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related equipment in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

Responsibilities include diagnosing instruments, maintaining safety devices, and providing documentation per DOT and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience reading manuals, schematics and engineering standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Outlook and Word.
• Experience using In Touch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 testing and documentation.
• Understanding of National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 directives.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems across facilities.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and electrical distribution.
• Support PLC/DCS process and safety controls.
• Read drawings and schematics for installation & maintenance.
• Test, calibrate, and document control safety devices per regulations.
• Participate in call-out coverage and safety programs.
• Mentor less experienced staff and oversee third-party work.
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting.
