Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. The role involves repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and conducting predictive and preventive maintenance on control systems, pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include inspection and maintenance of PLC/DCS, ensuring compliance with DOT and PSM standards, reading engineering drawings, and participating in safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level C requires 0–2 years of experience; Level B 2–4 years; Level A 4+ years.
• Preferred: State Electrical License, Associates in Instrumentation, relevant software certifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and associated instrumentation.
• Maintain PLCs/DCS and process safety controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance per regulatory requirements and DOT standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to junior staff and coordinate with contractors.
